As we turned the corner onto the wharf, we couldn't believe our eyes - it was like somebody had jumped into our heads, jumped out and created what they saw! Truly spectacular venue, dressed and decorated to perfection. All of our guests were stunned and thought it was out of this world.
The food and service also matched the setting and there is not an ounce of disappointment for anything on the entire day - it was exactly how we imagined and dreamed! All of our guests commented on the amazing food and the service which we received throughout the reception - something that can make or break a wedding..
The months leading up to the big day were quite nerve wracking, not knowing anyone who had been married in port before, we really didn't know what to expect but crossed our fingers and toes and hoped for the best. If I had of known how everything would come off - absolutely perfect - i wouldn't have been worried at all!
Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we have to agree with them :-)

The MAD team were instrumental in coordinating our wedding week celebrations in Port Douglas. Given we lived in Melbourne and both have pretty hectic work pressures, it was nearly impossible to co-ordinate a location wedding on our own. Vicki, Byron and Jodi were absolutely brilliant, and their personal touch to every part of the wedding celebration made the few days in Port Douglas for us and our guests unforgettable. Given we had guests flying in from all over the world, we wanted to create a unique experience and show them why we love Far North Queensland so much. So not only did the MAD team coordinate the wedding day, but they also organised other activities for us including a sailing day on the reef. The MAD team's attention to detail and connections with so many local vendors - from caterers to restaurants to baby sitters to accommodation agencies. No task was too hard, and everything was done with brilliant precision. The idea of having a bridal butler on the wedding day, to support us took the pressure off our friends and families to bother with 'the little things' was brilliant. I highly recommend this to any couple getting married as it made such a difference to the enjoyment of the day. We all had a wonderful time in Port Douglas and are already talking about a return trip….. we are confident that at least we did contribute to getting the Port Douglas economy up and running again!!
